Invite staff with the right role and driving eligibility, and know who can handle rentals, dispatch, inspections, and billing.

For:Owner

Before you start.

  • Sign in as Owner to manage users.
  • Know the person’s work email and responsibilities.

Steps.

  1. Invite the person

    Take me there →

Open Team settings and choose Invite Team Member. Enter the work email, choose Role, and check Can be assigned as a driver when appropriate. Send Invite and check the invitation state.

  2. Choose access for the actual job

Owner manages company settings, global inspection policy, and users. Owner and Dispatcher handle invoices. Yard Manager can create rentals and quotes, manage catalog and checklist templates, arrange dispatch, and work returns and Service. Sales and Sales Manager handle customer work and counter returns; they do not resolve general Dispatch, Yard, Service, or billing.

  3. Check driver eligibility separately

Driver access is for assigned field work. A Driver role is eligible to drive; other staff may need driving eligibility enabled. Owner or Dispatcher manages driver records. Check active status, licence details, and trip conflicts before assignment.

    warning

A no-account driver link grants access to its trip; it is not a team invitation or a general dashboard role.

Common problems and recovery.

An invitation is still pending.

Check the address and use the offered resend. Save and Re-send updates a pending invitation; Save Role updates an existing team member.

A person cannot be assigned to drive.

Check active user/driver status, driving eligibility, licence expiry, and assignment conflicts. A broader office role alone does not prove they can drive.
